Easter bird house - clever idea from Sanna

Wielkanocny domek dla ptaków - świetny pomysł od Sanny. Kursik na dziś, specjalnie dla Was.

You will need one 12×12 inch (bottom part) and one 6×12 inch sheet (roof) of patterned paper to cover the bird house. First place the house pieces on the paper and trace them onto the paper with a pencil. Then cut and decorate the patterned paper pieces to your liking. You could also paint, stamp or mist the bird house, if you would like to try another look. I chose a woodgrain paper (I love woodgrain!) for this one. I also additionally stamped some stamp images (music notes) with white and dark brown ink onto the paper and also added some black color splatters for additional decoration.

Now let the decorated paper dry properly and start gluing the chipboard pieces together. I used Aleene´s Tacky Glue for gluing and it worked out really well. The upper (roof) and bottom part are two separate pieces on purpose – > that way you can easily fill the bird house later as the roof goes off.

Now that the house is all done (let dry properly before adhering the paper!) you just need to glue the previously decorated and fussy cut paper pieces on their places.

Next I wiped some brown Distress Ink around all edges for more depth. Next I chose some more chipboard pieces for decoration and started by inking the bird with dark green and brown Distress Ink. After it was dry I applied a layer of Diamond Stickles over it.

The chipboard flower swirl is also inked with green, orange and pink Distress Ink. After that I added some Stickles here and there for additional shine. The flowers are glued down in clusters and the petals are treated with Stickles.
